Sales module
General path: Company space > Sales
The Sales module covers customers, quotes, orders, deliveries, invoices, credit notes and reports.
Customers
Path: Company space > Sales > Customers
Required: Customer name. Optional: email, phone, address, credit limit, notes.
Quotes
Path: Company space > Sales > Quotes
Required fields: customer or customer name, at least one line with description, positive quantity.
Line fields: line type, description, reference, linked stock item, quantity, unit, unit price, discount.
Process:
- Create a quote.
- Select a customer or enter their name.
- Add lines.
- Check quantities, prices, discount, VAT and total.
- Save.
- Depending on status, convert the quote to an order or invoice.
TIP
Use version creation if the quote must be revised without losing history.
Orders
Path: Company space > Sales > Orders
Check: customer, lines, order date, expected delivery date, currency, VAT, terms.
If a line is linked to a stock item, available stock may be checked.
Deliveries
Path: Company space > Sales > Deliveries
Before validation, check: source order, quantities delivered, discrepancies, status.
WARNING
Validating a delivery may trigger a stock outflow if lines concern stock items and the Stock module is active.
Customer invoices
Path: Company space > Sales > Invoices
Always check: net total, VAT, gross total, amount paid, payment status.
Credit notes
Path: Company space > Sales > Credit notes
Before creating a credit note, check: the customer, the source invoice or document, the lines concerned, the amounts.
Sales report
Path: Company space > Sales > Report or Company space > Reports > Sales
May show: quoted amounts, ordered, invoiced, collected, balance to collect, validated or pending deliveries, products/services breakdown, monthly trend, top customers.
